Retail Operations Manager

We're looking for a Retail Operations Manager who wants more than just keeping the lights on. We're after someone who's commercially minded, loves being on the floor, and is always looking for ways to improve the customer experience, grow sales and get more out of the business.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be leading the team, driving performance, keeping operations running smoothly and constantly looking for opportunities to make the store even better.

What a typical day might look like

You'll be responsible for:

• Taking ownership of the store's overall sales, profitability and performance.

• Executing pricing, markdown and promotional strategies to maximise sales.

• Driving merchandising standards that create an outstanding customer experience.

• Leading the recruitment, scheduling, coaching and performance of your team.

• Reviewing store performance and using data to make commercial decisions.

• Managing inventory, stock rotation, stock accuracy and shrinkage.

• Working closely with our warehouse team to move excess stock and keep inventory healthy.

• Ensuring an excellent customer experience at every touchpoint.

• Overseeing store administration, cash handling and banking procedures.

• Maintaining a safe, secure and well-run store, including health & safety and loss prevention.

• Preparing weekly reporting, forecasts and performance updates.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with:

• 2–3 years' experience managing a retail store or team.

• A proven track record of achieving sales targets and commercial results.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• A commercial mindset with the confidence to make decisions.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Good Excel and reporting skills.

• A proactive attitude and a genuine drive to improve things.

• A willingness to roll up your sleeves and lead from the front.
